Plopsaland Deutschland continues to grow and invests in the future
Plopsaland Deutschland, the first Plopsa park in Germany, enjoyed a highly successful year, welcoming 804,218 visitors. This marks the first time the park has exceeded the 800,000-visitor threshold, representing growth of 9% compared to the previous year.
In 2025, visitors were able to experience numerous new additions, including a bike parade, a large indoor attraction themed around The Smurfs, and the themed area dedicated to the koala Blinky Bill. In addition, construction began on a new water park in Hassloch. With an investment of 40 million euros, this represents the next step in developing a fully-fledged resort in Germany.
In the spring of 2026, a new family roller coaster is scheduled to open. At the same time, initial construction works will commence on an Xtreme Spinning Coaster developed in collaboration with Tomorrowland.
Plopsaland Belgium remains a strong market leader
Plopsaland Belgium also looks back on a successful anniversary year. With 1,405,606 visitors, the park once again recorded a new high and retained its position as Belgium’s most visited theme park. The anniversary year was celebrated with, among other highlights, a large-scale parade, a new family attraction in Wickieland, and an impressive anniversary show, “Plopsa Droom,” which attracted more than 90,000 visitors.
Last year, Plopsaland Resort recorded the highest number of overnight stays in its history. With an increase of 19%, the resort welcomed 98,000 overnight guests. The opening of Plopsaland Village, a holiday park featuring 55 luxury villas for families and groups of friends ranging from 6 to 12 people, played a key role in this growth. Together with the Plopsaland Theater Hotel, Plopsaqua, and the Studio 100 Theater, the resort confirms its ambition to further establish itself as a multi-day family destination on the Belgian coast.
In 2026, construction will continue on Plopsaland Plaza, the largest expansion and investment in the park’s history. The project represents an investment of 25 million euros.
