The Golden Ticket Awards are organised annually by the American trade magazine Amusement Today and are regarded as an important international reference within the amusement park industry. Votes are cast by an international panel of experienced park enthusiasts, journalists and industry representatives. The Ride to Happiness first climbed to fifth place worldwide in 2025 and has now confirmed that position in 2026.
A European first
The Ride to Happiness by Tomorrowland opened in 2021 and was the first Xtreme Spinning Coaster in Europe. The attraction represented an investment of €17.5 million. Over a 920-metre track, guests are launched twice, reach a height of 35 metres and experience five inversions. As the ride vehicles spin freely around their own axis during the ride, every experience is different.
Tomorrowland
For the theming, Plopsaland worked closely with the creative team of Tomorrowland. The festival’s distinctive fairy-tale world is reflected in the scenery and atmosphere surrounding the roller coaster. During the ride, guests are also immersed in the world of Tomorrowland through music written especially for the attraction.
New Xtreme Spinning Coaster on the way at Plopsaland Deutschland
The success of the attraction will be continued within Plopsa Group. At Plopsaland Deutschland, preparations are underway for the construction of a new Xtreme Spinning Coaster, scheduled to open in 2028. The new roller coaster is part of the large-scale €150 million investment plan for the further development of the German Plopsa park.
